Light Requirements
Thrives in full sun and requires at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily for the best flowering display. Insufficient light may result in reduced blooming and slower growth.
Water Requirements
Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Water deeply when needed, but avoid overwatering, as Bougainvillea performs best when kept on the drier side. Ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.
Toxicity
Generally considered mildly toxic to pets and humans if ingested. The sap and thorns may also cause skin irritation in sensitive individuals. Keep away from pets and children, and handle with care when pruning or moving the plant.
