The Winterberry Gaultheria is a compact, evergreen plant prized for its glossy green foliage and bright red berries that add a cheerful, festive touch during the holiday season. Also known as Gaultheria procumbens or wintergreen, this plant brings natural beauty and subtle fragrance to indoor arrangements and seasonal decor. While it can be grown outdoors in milder climates, in our region it is best enjoyed as a temporary indoor accent during the colder months. The Winterberry Gaultheria prefers cool, bright conditions and consistently moist, acidic soil. It is generally low-maintenance and resistant to common pests. Mist occasionally during dry indoor months to help preserve its foliage and vibrant berries.
