Orchid Cactus (Epiphyllum) is a beautiful tropical cactus known for its long, flat, trailing stems and spectacular, large, colourful flowers. Unlike desert cacti, it naturally grows in humid forest environments and is often grown in hanging baskets where its cascading stems can be displayed. With proper care, it can produce impressive blooms that add a tropical touch to any indoor space.

Light Requirements
Prefers bright, indirect light with some gentle morning or filtered sunlight. A bright location near an east- or north-facing window is ideal. Avoid intense direct afternoon sunlight, which can scorch the flat stems.
Water Requirements
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil begin to dry. Water thoroughly, then allow excess moisture to drain away. Keep the soil slightly moist during active growth but avoid soggy conditions. Use a well-draining, organic-rich cactus or epiphytic soil mix to prevent root problems.
Toxicity
Generally considered non-toxic to pets and humans. However, ingestion of plant material may cause mild stomach upset. Keep out of reach of pets and small children.
