The First Arrival Itoh Peony is an early-blooming intersectional peony prized for its large, soft lavender-pink blossoms and impressive garden presence. Its semi-double flowers open in shades of rosy pink with subtle coral undertones and golden centers, creating a graceful yet eye-catching display in mid- to late spring. Strong, sturdy stems support the abundant blooms without staking, while its lush, deeply cut green foliage remains attractive well after flowering. Offered in a 1 Gal Pot, First Arrival establishes into a vigorous, long-lived perennial that combines the best qualities of herbaceous and tree peonies—exceptional flower size, sturdy growth, and reliable performance in garden beds or as a standout focal point.

Light Requirements
Prefers full sun for optimal blooming. Provide at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. In warmer regions, light afternoon shade can help protect blooms and extend their longevity.
Water Requirements
Water regularly during the growing season, especially while establishing. Keep soil consistently moist but well-drained. Avoid soggy conditions, as peonies are sensitive to excess moisture. Reduce watering after the plant goes dormant in fall.
Toxicity
Peonies may cause mild gastrointestinal upset if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets and children. Sap may cause mild skin irritation in sensitive individuals.
