Elegant and softly romantic, First Arrival Itoh Peony is one of the earliest blooming intersectional peonies, offering a profusion of large, semi-double blossoms in delicate lavender-pink tones with deeper rose-pink centers. Lightly fragrant and highly floriferous, this variety adds a graceful touch to sunny perennial borders with blooms that can reach 6–8 inches wide.
 
As an Itoh (intersectional) peony, First Arrival combines the lush, showy flowers of herbaceous peonies with the strong stems and refined foliage of tree peonies. Its upright, rounded habit is sturdy and self-supporting, and the finely cut, dark green leaves remain attractive long after the blooms have faded.
