Galeobdolon ‘Silver Frost’ (Lamiastrum galeobdolon) is a striking, low-growing perennial valued for its silvery, frosted-looking foliage with deep green marbling. Its spreading, groundcover habit makes it an excellent choice for shaded garden beds, woodland plantings, and underplanting shrubs, where it provides bright contrast and season-long texture. In late spring to early summer, it produces small yellow, snapdragon-like flowers that add subtle seasonal interest. In Manitoba, it is grown as a hardy perennial in suitable sheltered sites, thriving in cooler conditions and performing best in partial to full shade.
