Didelta Silver Strand is a unique, low-growing perennial (often treated as an annual in colder climates) prized for its soft, silvery-grey foliage that forms a dense, trailing mat. Its fine-textured, cascading habit makes it an excellent choice for hanging baskets, containers, and the front of sunny garden beds, where it adds a cool-toned contrast to brighter flowering plants. While its yellow, daisy-like blooms are modest, the plant is primarily grown for its striking foliage that provides season-long interest. In Manitoba, it is typically grown as a warm-season annual, thriving in full sun and warm conditions but sensitive to frost.
