Brain Cactus (Mammillaria elongata ‘Cristata’) is a unique and fascinating succulent named for its unusual crested growth pattern that resembles the folds of a human brain. Its twisted, ridged stems are covered with small spines and create a striking sculptural appearance. Slow-growing and low-maintenance, it is an excellent choice for cactus collections, sunny windowsills, and decorative containers.

Brain Cacti, 2.5" Pot
Light Requirements
Prefers bright light with several hours of indirect to direct sunlight daily. A sunny windowsill or bright indoor location will help maintain its compact growth and healthy appearance. Protect from intense afternoon sun if grown outdoors in very hot conditions.
Water Requirements
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly, then allow excess moisture to drain away. Use a well-draining cactus or succulent soil mix to prevent root rot. Reduce watering during the winter months when growth slows.
Toxicity
Generally considered non-toxic to pets and humans. However, the spines can cause injury if touched or handled improperly. Keep out of reach of pets and small children.
