San Marzano Tomatoes have a compact growth habit and a is a prolific producer. Bright red, slim, 2-3" plum type fruit. San Marzano is a paste tomato with a pointy end, heavy walls and little juice. Does well when made into tomato sauce. Crack resistant. Often considered better tasting than Roma.
