Sweet Pea Cupani Seeds are the oldest recorded variety, introduced in 1699, and are known for their fragrant, small flowers. These annuals thrive in full sun and make excellent cut flowers, growing as dwarf hedging or climbing up trellises. For best results, sow indoors from January to March or September to October, 1.5cm (½") deep in compost pots at 15°C (60°F). Keep moist, and seedlings will appear in 12-21 days. Pinch out the growing tip to encourage bushy growth and plant outdoors 30cm (12") apart once acclimatized. Alternatively, sow outdoors in April-May directly into prepared soil. Enjoy flowers from May to October by regularly picking blooms to extend the season. For optimal germination, slit the seed coat and soak for 24 hours before sowing.
