Sunflower Hallo Seeds are a large-flowered variety with an excellent branching habit, producing multiple golden heads per plant. Easy to grow and loved by bees and butterflies, they make a striking addition to any garden and can even be used as cut flowers. Sunflowers thrive in various spaces, from borders and beds to pots and containers, adding warmth and vibrancy to both small and large outdoor areas. They pair beautifully with other easy-to-grow annuals like Cosmos, Coreopsis, or Cornflower. Long-lasting in the garden or as cut flowers, they also attract beneficial insects and provide food for birds in winter when left standing. Sow 1 week after the final spring frost, 13mm (½”) deep and 10cm (4”) apart in well-cultivated soil. Keep soil moist, and expect germination in 7-21 days. Thin seedlings to their final spacing when well-established, and harden off before transplanting. For earlier blooms, start indoors up to 2 weeks before the last frost, sowing 2 seeds per pot and thinning to the strongest plant. Sunflowers always face the rising sun, so position them carefully for maximum enjoyment throughout the day.
