An old favorite for massing effect in the landscape, a wide spreading and sprawling shrub with widely arching branches and a soft texture, can grow quite large; best used in groupings for architectural effect; many refined cultivars are available.
Savin Juniper has green foliage. The scale-like leaves remain green throughout the winter. The flowers are not ornamentally significant. It produces blue berries from late spring to late winter.
