Dorotheanthus (Aptenia Variegata) is a cheerful, trailing succulent prized for its small, fleshy green leaves edged in creamy white variegation and its bright, daisy-like pink to red flowers. Its low-growing, spreading habit makes it ideal for hanging baskets, containers, and as a groundcover, where it forms a dense, cascading mat of color and texture. Well-suited to warm, sunny conditions, it adds a vibrant, drought-tolerant element to seasonal plantings. In Manitoba, it is grown as a warm-season annual, as it is not frost-tolerant.
