The Cypress Grinch Tree is a whimsical, festive plant often shaped with a curved top and decorated for the holiday season—resembling the iconic tree from Dr. Seuss's classic tale. This small conifer is typically a Lemon Cypress (Cupressus macrocarpa 'Goldcrest') variety, known for its bright chartreuse foliage and fresh citrus scent. While it adds a playful and cheerful element indoors during the holidays, it is not suitable for outdoor planting in our climate and should be kept as an indoor decorative plant. The Cypress Grinch Tree is generally easy to care for and resistant to common pests. It prefers a bright location out of direct sunlight and consistently moist—but not soggy—soil. Occasional misting is recommended to prevent the foliage from drying out during the colder months.
