Combat Coleus is a vibrant, foliage-focused annual prized for its bold, multi-toned leaves featuring rich shades of burgundy, green, and bright contrasting edges. Its dense, mounded habit and striking color patterns make it an eye-catching addition to garden beds, borders, and containers, where it provides continuous visual interest without relying on flowers. Thriving from late spring through fall, it brings texture and dramatic color to both sun and shade plantings. In Manitoba, it is grown as a warm-season annual, performing best in warm conditions and protected from frost.

Combat Coleus, 5" Pot
Light Requirements
Prefers partial sun to shade. Tolerates full sun in cooler climates if kept well-watered, but color is often richest with some protection from intense afternoon sun.
Water Requirements
Prefers consistently moist, well-drained soil. Do not allow soil to dry out completely, as coleus can wilt quickly under dry conditions.
Toxicity
May be mildly toxic if ingested by pets, potentially causing gastrointestinal discomfort, so it’s best kept out of reach of curious animals.
